This week has been really good. We had 27 lessons this week, and that has been amazing. We really don't know how we were able to do that but we were.
Something I learned this week was in Ether 6:5. The Lord sends the winds and the waves to us personally so that we can make it to our own personal ¨promised land¨. The Jaredites were tossed to and fro for almost a year. The ships sometimes fell to the bottom of the sea and yet they were fine. And they were fine because they prepared in the way the Lord instructed them. When we do what is asked of us, and prepare for the winds that will no doubt come, we can be sure that we will arrive in our promised land. So, Mom, don`t worry so much about finding a place. It might take time, but the Lord provides for us. And the plan that he has for us is so much better than what we have planned for ourselves.
Fun fact! Andrea was the language coach for my Mission President´s wife! She told me that she was there when Bret and Andrea got engaged, so I think that she knew before I knew! Haha ;) And they have a son that served in the Angeles, Phlippines mission the same time as Eric! Crazy Mormon world connections, right? But they seem really awesome. Very different from President Derbez and his wife, but really awesome. President Owen is the founder of Thermoworks.
